Wine is a foodstuff! Today's collage from the circulade of Aigne

The tiny "circulade" village of Aigne is just so lovely - more than a thousand years old. The church in part dates back to before the schism between Eastern and Western Christianity.
Meanwhile the lo cagorol restaurant gave us an amazing lunch and my translation skills were useful for the visitors from the USA at the next table. It was really great to be part of school children, builders from the nearby construction site and tourists all eating the same wonderful food. Fine, honest, fresh and creative, but also straightforward and not in the slightest bit snobby.
Then afterwards we wandered out to see a local vigneron hosing down his press after harvesting and pressing the grapes and admired the play of light in the tiny village streets.
